Dr. Dow was born and raised in the Eugene-Springfield area. Dr. Andrew Dow and his younger brother, Dr. Coleman Dow, are the 4th generation of dentists in the Dow family to practice dentistry in the Eugene-Springfield area. Dr. Dow is grateful to be raising his family in the community where he grew up. He is proud to serve as a trusted resource for patients and dental professionals while providing exceptional periodontal and implant care.

Profile: Aside from his work life, Dr. Dow, along with his wife, Elizabeth, daughter, dog Otis and rest of his family, enjoys skiing, biking, running, hiking and climbing and just about anything that can be done outside! He spends time with his friends and family and travels to new and exciting places. He has spent time volunteering in Mexico, the Philippines, and most recently Jamaica, providing dental care to the underserved communities and he looks forward to continuing to travel and help others.

Education: Dr. Dow attended the University of Oregon, earning his bachelor’s degree in General Science with minors in Chemistry and Business. After graduation, he attended Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.). While in dental school, Dr. Dow volunteered for several dental causes and was active in student government. After completing dental school, Dr. Dow continued his education at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine postdoctoral periodontal residency program. This program is notably the first program to offer advanced training in laser research. While at Colorado, he attended the Misch International Implant Institute, participated in several study clubs, performed the entire range of periodontal therapies and earning his Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences. He was awarded the Robert G. Schallhorn Annual Award for Periodontal Excellence in Academics, Clinical Proficiency, Meritorious Research and Interpersonal Relationships.
